- Provide high quality services enabling CalWORKs students to move from welfare dependency to economic self-sufficiency.
- Aid the state in meeting both its TANF Maintenance of Effort funding and the Department of Health and Human Services Work Participation Requirements.
- Provide exceptional employment and work study services to assist students in meeting county requirements for participation in the CalWORKs program.
- Produce the CalWORKs Association Portraits of Success used to highlight student achievement.
- Conduct workshops, training, and annual statewide conferences.
- Establish strategic partnerships with organizations advocating for education and social services.
- Maintain CalWORKs program integrity and Budget Act mandates and compliance.
- Advocate for the protection of categorical funding and programs serving at-risk students.
- 10+ years of educational excellence for CalWORKs families, breaking the cycle of poverty.
